Working with Time Maps
The aim of this School is to teach you how to build and read a Time Map, an astrological tool that allows you to see the narrative or story of your life. This is a unique approach to predictive astrology!
Course Contents
Lecture 1 – Creating a Time Map using both Progressions and Transits, and considering orbs, colours, and layout. She will give a brief recap of understanding transits through the houses in your natal chart.
Lecture 2 – Blending the Lunar progressions and progressed planet aspects with the events indicated by the transits. We will look at the idea of incoming and outgoing levels of intensity of a progressions.
Lecture 3 – Adding the seasons of a person’s life – the Secondary Progressed Lunar phase – to the Time Map and its impact on how the individual transits are understood.
Lecture 4 – A focus on the whole time map with case studies of current as well as historical figures. This is where the whole map can be seen as the central tool for working with the future.
This unique School is focused on teaching you how to draw up and read a Time Map – the blending of Transits with Secondary Progressions. There are four lectures which are each 60-minute videos that are full of chart examples and detailed unpacking of the astrology techniques being taught. You will probably need to revisit each lecture several times. As individuals, we do not experience life as a series of separate events. Rather, we live our life in story or narrative. A Time Map focuses on this idea of narrative, the narrative that is created astrologically by the blending of transits with progressions and larger cycles in your life. By bringing all of these astrological tools together we allow the narrative to be revealed. The tool to achieve this result is the Time Map.
Studying the Time Map course
You engage with the Time map course online from your own computer – PC or MAC, or you can use your iPhone or iPad. Once you enrol you will instantly gain access to the course. Log into your courses using your chosen username and password. Then click on My Courses – top right hand menu, then click on the Working with Transit course.
What is a Time Map
Time maps are a visual method for presenting all the predictive information on one time based image. This course focuses on how to blend progressions, and cycles, with major transits and the natal houses involved across a calendar. The art of reading a time map is the sequence, order and dating of these events which blend together to form a narrative of the person’s year.

Skill Level
The course is aimed at astrologers who know the basic components of a chart, what the houses and planets mean. This course also assumes that you have undertaken both courses on Working with Transits, and the course on Secondary Progressions. If you have not worked with those lectures you may struggle to follow some parts of the course.

Dr Bernadette Brady
The lecturer is Bernadette Brady who holds a PhD from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and did her doctorate in beliefs in fate in 20th and 21st-century astrology. She also holds a masters degree in Culture Astronomy and Astrology from Bath Spa University, UK. In September, 2006 she was honoured by the Astrological Association of Great Britain by being awarded the prestigious Charles Harvey Award for “exceptional service to astrology”, and in 2008 with the Regulus Award in theory and Understand by the USA community at UAC in Denver. She is only one of a handful of UK astrologers to hold this award (some others being Nick Campion and Liz Greene).
