Medieval Tools for Today's Astrologer
The aim of this New Summer School is to engage you with what Bernadette Brady considers to be an important set of Medieval astrology tools that add to one’s skills as an
astrologer in today’s world.
The Summer School in Medieval Tools teaches you four powerful tools that can be incorporated into your modern astrological work. These are the tools that Bernadette has found most useful in her own work as an astrologer!
These tool will allow you to:
*Find the key planet in an planetary cluster or aspect pattern.
*Understand how to measure the effectiveness of an aspect.
*Add levels of meaning to the houses through the triplicities.
*Add two new predictive techniques to your astrological tools.
These four lectures live, online but also available to you in Astro Logos’ Learning Centre where you find additional material, forums and extra ‘how to’ videos.

Attending the Summer School
You attend the Summer School online from your own computer – PC or MAC, or you can use your iPhone or iPad. We use Zoom, which is a special service which enables us to all see and hear each other while also being able to share Power Points, white boards, and chat boxes. Two days before each lecture you will be emailed a special link to enable you to come to the lecture.
Your Tutor
The main tutor for this master class is Dr Bernadette Brady, author of Predictive Astrology, the Eagle and the Lark. Spica Award – Best astrological book – Predictive Astrology. We use Moodle as our course platform and several days before the Summer School starts you will be sent your unique login that enables you to enter our Learning Centre. This is where you gain access to extra material, all the recordings of the lectures, plus a forum where you can discuss any questions, charts or comments with your fellow Summer School attendees. Bernadette will watch the forum and add comments or help where it could be useful.
The lectures of the Summer School will be recorded. The videos will be available to you for up to a four weeks after the Summer School finishes, so you will be able to revise or, if you miss a lecture, you will be able to catch up. You access these recordings in the Astro Logos Learning Centre.
Skill Level
You will be expected to have a basic working knowledge of astrology.
Software
We will be using the astrological software, Solar Fire for all the chart calculations but you can use any software that you own or prefer.
The Lectures
The Summer School has four online live sessions with Bernadette Brady where she will present a 60 minute lecture, followed by a 30 minute Q & A session.
Week 1 – The Essential Dignities with a focus on Triplicities and their unique predictive tool of Directing by Triplicity. This sounds hard but it is an easy tool to apply visually to a chart to see the overview of a person’s life path. This will be followed by a 30 min Q & A on the progressed Moon in charts.
Week 2 – The triplicities and the houses. Each house has three levels of meanings, for example the fifth house is children, but also public honours plus lovers. Knowing what level is the focus can tighten your astrological work. This will be followed by a 30 min Q & A on the progressed Sun through a chart.
Week 3 – The Firdaria – a predictive tool based in planetary periods that provides a frame work for the transits and progressions but also provides an insightful tool for retrospective work. If you want to know what your Venus is like look back at different Venus periods of your life and see the pattern! This will be followed by a 30 min Q & A on the secondary progressed lunar phase.
Week 4 – Reception,and aspects – what aspects are being emphasised in a chart and when is a transit softened in its expression. This will be followed by a 30 min Q & A on the progressed planets.
Additional Material
Through the Astro Logos Learning Centre you will also be supplied with additional supporting material, such as ‘how to’ videos and PDFs of notes on the different Medieval astrology tools.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your registration and get a full refund to the Summer School if you do so before we send you your login to the Astro Logos Learning Centre, which happens two days before the first Summer School lecture. This refund will be in full, back to the credit card you have used for your initial payment. No refunds will be offered once we have sent you your login details.
